The Ritual Bath is a religious or magic ceremony involving the use of water to immerse or anoint a subject’s body. Baptism is a form of ritual bathing even with the purpose of purification.
The ritual bath can be performed alone or with a partner
Purification. There are many reasons to take a bath before one invokes the sacred, including purification and the washing away of everyday life and all of the distractions therein.
Cleansing. The cleansing of one’s physical body, as well as spiritual and emotional cleansing is another good reason to partake of a sacred soak. A ritual bath is a great way to remove the unwanted energies of others, as well as a good way to reclaim your personal energies and manifestations.
Relaxation. That’s a big one. To remove oneself from the world and to relax the body is an important and often overlooked aspect of living in the sacred. A nice long soak will give your body a chance to recharge and regenerate.
Focus of Intentions. This is akin to meditation or mental focus. A bath is a great place to daydream and envision. What are your intentions for the rituals you are planning?

Raising Erotic Energy
Preparation
You may wish to light a candle.
Incense is also a good idea. Create sacred and healing space.
Crystals and gemstones add a subtle vibration to your water – try them once and you will always have them around your bathing areas. Try carnelian for raising your erotic energy, rose quartz for healing, and clear quartz crystals for psychic workings and purifications.
Begin your bath. Have everything ready and nearby. Towel. Water for drinking – or whatever you are drinking.
I know most folks like ot fill the bath before they get in, but I often love to get in and let the hot water full up around me.
The Ritual Bath
Like any ritual, many have their special bathing techniques or routines. This may include a towel and robe that is only used at these times, through candles and incense, special soaps and lotions, herbal blends for bath teas and bath salts.
Make your own bath salts:
1 part Epsom salt (found in your grocers or local pharmacy)
1 part Sea salt - any grind is suitable, the finer, the faster it will dissolve in the bath. I love the coarser Sea Salts tho.
2 parts Baking soda - The standard variety used in the kitchen
Essential oils - based on your ritual and intentions
In a glass mixing bowl, mix together salts and baking soda. Add the oils drop by drop until you have reached the desired fragrance. All the while that you are mixing, focus on your intent in your mind. Bath salts can be stored in a dry place with a lid out of direct sunlight.
